Xiaomi launches world's first 120-watt charger, will now charge laptops from smartphones

As we reported a few days ago, the popular smartphone maker Xiaomi is probably going to bring the much awaited 100 watt turbo fast charging technology. Although the company introduced this technology last year. However, this time it may be brought to the market commercially. The company has developed a 120 watt charger to use this technology. This charger was recently spotted on the Chinese certification site 3C website. It is clear that we will soon see fast charging technology in any smartphone with this charger. Let's learn more about this 120 watt fast charger.
This 120 watt charger was first reported from a video leaked a few weeks ago. According to the video, the charger is cuboid in shape with a USB type port, with charging pings on the opposite end of the USB port. The video also provided some information about the charging speed of the charger, power output.
The power outputs of this charger can support 5 volt-3 amperes, 9 volt-3 amperes, and 11 volt-6 ampere current for 15 watt charging speed. In addition, it will get 20 watts support at 4.6 amperes and 20 volts support at 8 amperes. These power outputs indicate that the upcoming charger can be used to charge not only smartphones but also multiple devices, including laptops and tablets.
According to sources, the model number of the 120-watt charger may be "MDY-12-ED". However, Shaomi did not provide any information about such a smartphone or the upcoming charger. It is also possible that the new 120 watt charger, smartphone users will be able to buy separately like Apple's charger.
