Candidates should have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

Proficiency in the Bengali language (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.

Candidates of all categories: 167 cm (Height), 57 kg (Weight), 78 cms Chest (without expansion), 83 cms Chest (with expansion of 5 cms)

Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis, and Scheduled Tribes: 160 cm (Height), 53 kg (Weight), 76 cms Chest (without expansion), 81 cms Chest (with expansion of 5 cms)

Constable (Female):

Candidates of all categories: 160 cm (Height), 49 kg (Weight)

Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis, and Scheduled Tribes: 152 cm (Height), 45 kg (Weight)

Third Gender:

Candidates of all categories: 163 cm (Height), 52 kg (Weight)

Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis, and Scheduled Tribes: 155 cm (Height), 48 kg (Weight)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Male Candidates:

1600 meters Run within 6 minutes 30 seconds

Female Candidates:

800 meters Run within 4 minutes

Third Gender Candidates:

800 meters Run within 3 minutes 30 seconds

Ex-servicemen above 35 years of age:

Male Candidates:

800 meters Run within 3 minutes 30 seconds

Female / Third Gender Candidates:
